Ed Walker is Editor (Digital) across the Trinity Mirror Regionals portfolio, working as part of a central editorial team who have helped regional brands such as the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo and Birmingham Mail to industry-leading growth. The Trinity Mirror Group is now the sixth largest digital media platform in the UK - with more daily unique browsers than eBay, Yahoo or Sky.

Ed has held a number of senior editorial positions across the regionals portfolio, most recently as Associate Editor at the Liverpool Echo working with the sports team covering Liverpool FC and Everton FC to grow audience rapidly.

In his spare time he also founded and edits a hyperlocal news site for the city of Preston, Lancashire, where he lives. Blog Preston, started in 2009, has a loyal monthly readership of 188,000 unique users with 70 per cent coming from within the postcode footprint area.
