Leonardo Mendes Júnior is the editorial director at Gazeta do Povo, the most traditional and influential newspaper from Paraná state, in Brazil, with more than 6 Million readers by month. He leads the digital transition of the outlet, which shut down the daily print edition and is with complete focus in a mobile first and subscription first product.
He is journalist graduated from Paraná Catholic University and a Master in Communication Management from ISE. Previously, he worked with sports on radios LBV, Clube, CBN e 98 and was editor-in-chief on the Brazilian ESPN the Magazine. He wrote the Politically Incorrect Guide Football, in partnership with Jones Rossi. At Gazeta do Povo, he worked as reporter, editor, blogger, columnist and executive editor before became editorial director.
