Following his education at an upper secondary technical and vocational school, Alexander managed a variety of industrial projects and worked in CAD development. In 1995 he joined APA – Austria Press Agency, where he took over the biggest APA-IT business segment, planning and operations. In 2012 he completed his MBA in general management and was appointed managing director of APA-IT GmbH. Since then he has been the chief technology officer and authorised signatory for APA. Falchetto has long been a member of APA's senior management team and has helped the subsidiary APA-IT achieve steady economic growth. He is also an essential driver behind the transformation of APA-IT from an IT service provider into an a system partner for media in the digital age.
