Andrea joined the Global Media Alliance for Innovation as the INJECT Project Coordinator in 2017. However, in her spare time, she is happy to dive into media innovation labs, journalism startups and other new initiaves to understand how media innovation works exactly and how it could be stimulated. This is also the focus of her ongoing PhD-research at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. At the same time she's been working as a freelance journalist since she obtained her Master's degree in Audiovisual Journalism from the University of Amsterdam. With one foot in academic research and one foot in journalism practice, she's determined to create a bridge between two worlds that could learn a lot from each other.
