Gail is Head of Business Development for BBC Global News Ltd, the division that manages the BBC News digital and TV business outside of the United Kingdom. This includes bbc.com and BBC World News TV. She is responsible for setting the BBC News digital partnership strategy internationally, as well as for directly managing a number of key strategic and commercial relationships, including with social media platforms. In her previous role at the BBC she was Head of Mobile and Emerging Platforms, working with news teams to innovate around emerging devices with a focus on mobile and smart TVs. She has also worked in the BBC World Service where she was responsible for delivering reach, brand awareness and revenue for BBC’s multi-lingual news services via off-platform distribution. Prior to joining the BBC, Gail spend many years working in book and magazine publishing.
