Jake is the founder of Mic, a leading news and media company for millennials. From global affairs and politics, to arts and music, to science and technology, Mic offers compelling stories and perspectives on the issues that define the next generation. Each month, more than 30 million people rely on Mic's unique sensibility to stay informed and rethink the world. In addition to shaping Mic's overall strategy, Jake works closely with the editorial team on coverage of the 2016 presidential campaign.
Prior to Mic, Jake lived and worked on both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict, researched democracy and governance issues in Morocco, worked for the Carnegie Endowment in Beirut, and helped Change.org inspire people to take action. A graduate of Stanford University, where he studied Middle East history and politics, Jake lives in Brooklyn, New York.
