Kirsten Dewar, a former international journalist, now manages the integration of Dataminr in over 450 newsrooms worldwide.
Her career started with the newsgathering teams at the BBC, CNN and Al Jazeera. In 2015 she was a member of the original team that launched TRT World in Istanbul and played a key role in building their international newsgathering operation from the ground up.
Passionate about building the newsroom of the future, she is driven by her love for journalism, drawing from her experience in the field and in digital newsgathering to provide the best advice on building a sustainable structure for News organizations worldwide.
Born in the UK of British parents, she was raised in Paris where she became fully bilingual. She has a degree in History from London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) where she specialized in the history of the Middle East and learned Arabic.
