Maura Fogarty is the Singapore Bureau Editor for BBC News. She is editorially responsible for BBC World News programs Newsday and Asia Business Report as well as our coverage of news and business on digital platforms. Maura is one of Asia’s most experienced journalists, having covered the region for CNBC, CNN and Channel NewsAsia (CNA). As a reporter, producer and news presenter, Maura has been based in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Middle East, covering some of the biggest stories in the last two decades. She has interviewed numerous Heads of State, CEOs and business leaders and was a finalist in the Best News Anchor category at the 2009 Asian Television Awards. Maura has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Willamette University.
