Sebastian Turner is the publisher of Tagesspiegel, the German capital newspaper. He studied political science, economic history and business administration in Bonn and at Duke University in the USA. In 1985 he founded "Medium - Magazin für Journalisten", which he published until 1995. In 1990 he founded offices of the international communication group Scholz & Friends (www.s-f.com) in Dresden and later in Berlin, where he was CEO until 2008. In 2009 he initiated the international Falling Walls Science Conference (www.falling-walls.com), Berlin. Since 2013 he has been on the supervisory board of DvH Medien-Holding of Dieter von Holtzbrinck (ZEIT, Handelsblatt, Tagesspiegel, Wirtschaftswoche), and since 2014 he is publisher and shareholder of the Tagesspiegel.
