As a vice president, Shawn DeWeese has over 20 years of experience and is instrumental in building Mather Economics’ new business relationships in the newspaper and magazine industries. He works closely with clients to develop and implement price optimization strategies, interpret results and maintain client engagements. Prior to joining Mather Economics, Shawn worked as the business development director for Qbase, where he built and marketed advanced analytic solutions for enterprises.
Shawn has held positions with Knight-Ridder, Harte-Hanks, E.W. Scripps and Cox Enterprises. He has leadership experience in a variety of business disciplines including advertising sales, media buying, circulation sales and marketing, business development, client relations and retention, operations and logistics. In 2006, Shawn presided over the Board of Trustees for the North American Division of the International Newspaper Marketing Association (INMA). He has also served as a board member and President of the Board of Trustees for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Greater Miami Valley for eight years. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands.
