Siyabonga is a digital media specialist having honed his skills in print, broadcast and online news media. He’s currently the program officer for the South Africa Media Innovation Program and an executive committee member of Hacks/Hackers Johannesburg. The South Africa Media Innovation Program (SAMIP) is a multi-year media initiative that aims to accelerate innovation and transformation of South Africa’s news media industry. Since 2017 the program has worked with more than twenty news media start-ups, non-profits and small business by providing them bespoke funding and capacity building.
