Suresh Balakrishna is the Chef Revenue Officer of The Hindu Group, he has been with The Hindu since November 2018. Prior to joining the Hindu, he was the CEO, South Asia and Middle East of Kinetic Advertising India Private Limited. Kinetic is a WPP Group company and the world’s largest OOH agency. Suresh comes with 30 years of experience in the media and advertising industry. He has worked in organizations such as Lintas Media Group, India Today Group, Zee Telefilms Limited, Hindustan Times and The Times of India.
He frequently addresses seminars, guest lectures at institutes such as MICA Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, Kolkata and Shillong etc. and was adjunct faculty at SIMC (SYMBIOSIS INSTITUTE OF MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION) for a brief period. Suresh has also developed and conducted specific training modules for media houses in India and abroad.
He was the only Indian media industry representative invited to the United Nations as a part of the Leadership Council for the 4th Annual “Media for Social Impact” Summit, held at the United Nations in NYC on September 14, 2017.
In 2018, he was also awarded the ‘OOH Person of the Year‘ by exchange4media at the Neon’s (Outdoor Industry awards).
Happily married, with a 26-year-old bright daughter and three-year-old Luna! Suresh loves travelling, adventure holidays, watching movies and animals. Above all, has a passion for teaching and training!!
