Last year, El Pais celebrated its 40th anniversary and implemented a series of radical changes to boost the digital transformation of its newsroom. A new and aggresive video strategy, new digital advertising formats and and wider distribution of its content on digital platforms. Still not going for a paid-subscription model, El País is going strong on alternative digital revenue streams and new market expansion, in particular, Latin America.
