Daniel Moreno is the Editor-in-Chief and founder of Animal Político, an on-line newspaper launched in November 2010.
Since 1989 Daniel has been a reporter in different news media groups such as Unomásuno, El Economista, and El Financiero, or Reforma (in which he participated in its foundation and worked as a Political Information Coordinator between 1993 and 2000)
In 2001, he was the publisher of Cambio magazine, when this was lead by Gabriel García Márquez, and later he worked as deputy editor of the newspaper El Universal.
He was deputy general director of Milenio Diario and editorial director of Excelsior, responsible for the graphic and editorial redesign of the newspaper.
He directed W Radio, integral station of the Prisa Group.
He is a professor in the journalism master's program at CIDE and a radio collaborator in the groups Fórmula and Televisa Radio.
He has been a speaker at events on journalism, digital journalism and freedom of expression organized by the New Journalism Foundation, the Congress of Digital Journalism of Spain, the World Bank, the UN, the IDB and the Spanish group Vocento.
He is currently also editorial director of Grupo Criterio, which publishes Newsweek magazine in Spanish.
