Ashlin manages Code for Africa’s business development team, helping to scale digital projects and products for newsrooms and social justice organisations. Previously, she managed Code for Africa's investment programmes, innovateAFRICA and impactAFRICA, working with project teams, data scientists, technologists, and researchers to align around Code for Africa’s core mission - creating actionable information and empowering citizens.
Before joining CfA she was the online editor of e.tv where they won the IAB Bookmark Award in 2015 for publisher sites - mass appeal. She was also a finalist in the Publicis90 Startup Global Initiative.
Outside of CfA work, she produces films as the co-founder of EightStreet Stories (8streetstories.com). In 2016 EightStreet Stories won LaunchLab’s MultiChoice Breakthrough Innovation Challenge and in 2017 they were awarded funding to produce an eight-part horror series for DSTV's On-Demand and YouTube channels
