Aslak Gottlieb is a former teacher. Building upon his experience in the educational sector and direct contact with young audiences, Aslak has specialized in supporting news media companies and academic institutions collaborating on news literacy projects for the benefit of both sides. For ten years he has run the Newspaper in Education program for the Association of Danish Media with more than 40 news media titles and ten thousands of students participating in 2018. His latest research project as a journalism fellow at University of Southern Denmark suggest an alternative set of news criteria for traditional news media wanting to engage younger audiences at digital platforms.
