Camila Jimenez Villa is Co-Founder and CEO of The Immigrant.
Before launching The Immigrant, Camila was Co-President and Chief Content Officer of Fusion Media Group (FMG), overseeing the Fusion Television Network and a portfolio comprised of 15 digital brands reaching 100+M monthly unique visitors, which included household names such as Gizmodo, Jezebel, The Root and The Onion. While at FMG, Camila launched FMG Studios and Story House, the group’s premium original content division, which went on to create Netflix hits such as “El Chapo” and “Murder Mountain”.
Prior to FMG, Jimenez Villa served as Vice President of CEO Projects at Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) and was co-founder and managing director at Cut the Papaya, an independent film production company that won 20+ awards and participated in 100+ international film festivals .
Camila holds an M.B.A in Strategy and Finance from NYU Stern, a postgraduate degree in Film Directing from The National Film and Television School in the U.K. , and a BA in Communication from IULM in Milan, Italy.
