Uma Patel is a Senior Consultant for FT Strategies (a digital growth consultancy from the Financial Times). In 2020, she worked with 8 different publishers in Europe through Google's Subscriptions Lab to help them understand and grow a reader first model and further develop their subscription strategies.

Separate to Subscriptions Lab, she has worked with news organisations to develop their engagement, B2B, conversion, retention and growth strategies. She previously worked as an ABC federal political reporter and Sky News New Zealand correspondent.
