The emcee of Digital Media Asia 2018's Asian Digital Media Awards ceremony is award-winning journalist, Zela Chin, principal reporter for the weekly, prime-time feature programme “Pearl Magazine” on TVB, Hong Kong's largest broadcaster. TVB shows reach 2.3 million households in the city, and over 300 million households worldwide. She has reported from Myanmar, Sri Lanka, mainland China, Macau, among other places.

Zela started her career at CNN headquarters in the U.S. and later joined CNN in Hong Kong to produce "Talk Asia". Highlights include interviews with Alibaba CEO Jack Ma, scientist Stephen Hawking and opera singer Luciano Pavarotti. She is also a Board Member of the Asia chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association, and president of the Duke Alumni Association in Hong Kong. Zela has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Hong Kong, and a bachelor’s in Slavic languages from Duke University.
