Mobile journalism is the new way of reporting incidents live. Today news and stories are spreadfast using mobile and social platforms. Different applications have been developed for community reporting. Where the new technologies have made the work easier, they have also put a question mark on the authenticity and reliability of these reports. This is one of the module in Editorial Leaders programme.
Editorial Leaders - Batch IV
An exclusive training programme for editors & journalists ‘Editorial Leaders’ initiative from the World Editors Forum and WAN-IFRA, is a module based training programme aimed at improving the knowledge of editors & journalists. The programme will develop future-ready editorial leaders and help news publishers create a pool of talent for the future.
The programme has trained more than 200 participants in the past two batches. The participants have gained insights about trends and challenges and improved their skills to face changing media landscape The modules are led by best-in-class trainers and addresses the new and changing needs of the readers, the skills needed to engage them with the publisher’s brand and the ways to gain advantage over old and new competitors.
The batch I and batch II saw participation from leading publishers namely - Dainik Bhaskar, Malayala Manorama, Prajavani, Sakal, Mathrubhmi, The Hindu, The Times of India, Sambad and The Daily Prothom Alo, Bangladesh and so on. The participants gained insights about trends and challenges and improved skills to face changing media landscape.
