Founder & Director of the Knight Center for Journalism, University of Texas, USA
Rosental Calmon Alves is a professor of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, where he holds the Knight Chair in Journalism and the UNESCO Chair in Communication and is also the founder and director of the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas. Created in 2002, the center has benefited thousands of journalists around the world with training programs. In Latin America and the Caribbean, the center has helped journalists to create a new generation of organizations dedicated to elevating the professional and ethical standards of journalism in their countries. In 2016, he was awarded with the Maria Moors Cabot Prize.

Ezequiel Arbusti is a specialist in online audience development, digital content creation and planning for websites and Social Media for media and brands. He is a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Content Management System (CMS) consultant, with a focus on entertainment. He has helped various digital mediums, such as TKM and Terra, to grow their operations in Latin America. Arbusti holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance. He currently works as a consultant and speaker on Digital Media topics.

Business Administrator from the Universidad de Los Andes. For 13 years, she has been the Executive Director of Interactive Advertising Bureau- IAB Colombia, an international organization that promotes the development and transformation of the marketing and advertising industry in the digital era. As director of this organization, she has managed to bring together in a significant way a relevant number of associated companies, representative of the advertising and marketing market, has carried out different academic and research activities to promote the evolution of digital advertising and has managed to increase the relevance of these areas, as well as the professionalization of this industry. It has supported the creation of Diplomas in Marketing and Digital Advertising with some of the best universities in the country (CESA, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, EAFIT, ICESI, Universidad de Caldas, among others), as well as support with specific modules in undergraduate, master's degrees and specializations with Universities such as Sergio Arboleda, GSB of the Universidad del Rosario, Universidad Autónoma de Occidente and with the Universidad Externado de Colombia. In parallel and since 2020, Olga has been part of Mindersgroup, a platform for top / senior management executive education programs, dedicated to digital business and transformation, with a presence in Latin America.
For 10 years, she served as Executive Director for Colombia of the Effie Awards, the most relevant awards in the advertising industry with more than 50 years of presence in the world dedicated to promoting effective advertising. Her work highlighted Colombia as the country in Latin America with the most registered cases.
Previously, Olga worked in marketing and advertising areas of important companies such as Banco Davivienda, McCann-Erickson, El Espectador and the ANDA (National Association of Advertisers) in 26 years of work experience.
She was chosen in 2018 as one of the “Women to Watch Colombia” by P&M magazine in partnership with Adage.

Partner Director of Intelligence, Research and Analysis of FSB Comunicação, the largest corporate communications agency in Brazil and Latin America. Ana Busch is in charge of the production of strategic content for more than 100 clients from federal ministries to B2C companies. She has also been director of the Advertising and Digital areas.
As part of the company's compliance committee, she developed and implemented a special integrity program for communication companies, as well as a new methodology for internal communication for compliance. She is also a member of the Brazilian Association of Compliance, Risks and Audit.
For 13 years, she has been the director of digital media at Folha de S.Paulo, the largest and most influential newspaper in Brazil. Responsible for the strategic management of the Group's business on the Internet and for project management in the areas of technology development and content for websites and mobile devices, including commercial guidelines.
Ana Busch was responsible, in 1999, for the planning, hiring of personnel, launch and publication of Folha Online, the first real-time newspaper in Portuguese language, which she directed for 11 years. During this period, she was the Head of the Editorial Department and the Commercial Team of the website.
She graduated in Architecture and Journalism from the University of São Paulo.

He founded his first design and advertising studio at the age of 20.

Charo Henríquez is a digital journalist with two decades of experience working at the intersection of journalism and technology, as well as training and coaching journalists. She is an advocate for inclusion of traditionally underrepresented people in media leadership.
She leads the Newsroom Development and Support team at The New York Times. This is group of journalists tasked with creating strategy and execution around new embedded training approaches and support efforts for reporters and editors, as well as partnering with Product teams to develop the best tools and workflows for the newsroom
Prior to joining the Times, Charo was the Digital Executive Editor for People en Español at Time, Inc. Before that, she worked at GFR Media, in Puerto Rico, where she led digital product efforts as their Innovation Editor for their news platforms, El Nuevo Día and Primera Hora.
Charo is a member of Online News Association’s Board of Directors and of the Advisory Council Board to the Spanish-language Journalism Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York. She has also been faculty for ONA Women’s Leadership Accelerator and ONA/Poynter’s Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Broadcasting from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, as well as a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.

Gabriel Sama is the editor-in-chief of CNET en Español, a technology site based in San Francisco, California. Gabriel has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing world and is an expert in launching new projects on all platforms. Gabriel has launched newspapers, magazines and websites as editorial director in Mexico and the United States for companies such as Editorial Televisa, Recoletos and CBS Interactive. Among those projects are the magazine Quo (Mexico, 1997), the newspaper chain Rumbo (San Antonio, Texas, 2004) and CNET en Español (San Francisco, California, 2013). He has also been an editorial consultant for projects in Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Dubai, Greece and Russia.
Gabriel graduated from Communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York, where he graduated with honors in 2000. He also received the prestigious Knight scholarship from Stanford University in 2010. Gabriel lives with his wife and children in Palo Alto, California.

Caio Túlio was one of the founders of UOL, Latin America’s largest internet portal, and is an Internet pioneer in Brazil, expert in digital media, journalist, teacher of journalism and Ph.D. in Communication by the University of São Paulo, Brasil.
As a teacher at the School of Advertising and Marketing, in São Paulo, Costa was Visiting Research Fellow at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in Nueva York during the autumn of 2013.
At Columbia University, Costa conducted a research to map the possible business models for the communication industry in the digital age. Costa wrote a report about the research: "A Business Model for Digital Journalism: How Newspapers Should Embrace Technology, Social and Value Added Services".
Costa is also a partner of Torabit Tecnologia, a digital monitoring platform and was director of digital strategy for ANJ, National Association of Newspapers.
He also joined the board of directors of Fundación Padre Anchieta (TV Cultura) and is on the editorial board of the Pesquisa FAPESP Magazine and Revista de Jornalismo ESPM.
He worked for 21 years for the Folha de S. Paulo journal, where he was editor, managing editor, correspondent in Paris (France) and creator of Revista da Folha (published with the periodical). He was also chosen to be the first ombudsman for the Brazilian press.
Withim the same communication group, Costa was one of the founders in 1996 of Universo Online, UOL, the first major portal and Internet provider in Latin America, who was the general director during the first several years.
In 2006, he joined the presidency of the Internet Group, the Internet arm of Brasil Telecom, a big Brazilian telco, consolidating the portals and internet service provides iG, iBest and BrTurbo. In 2009 he gave consultancy to Oi (Brazilian telecommunications company) on the digital platform of convergent media.
He is the author and organizer of several books of communication and history, among them "Ethics, journalism and new media: a provisional moral" (Zahar).
