Pailin Wedel is freelance producer and visual journalist with clients including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera and GlobalPost. Before the freelance world, she worked for the Associated Press as the lead Asia Interactive Producer in charge of producing online visual content from Tokyo to New Delhi for AP clients. She has used interactive graphics to illustrate big Asia stories such as the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami, the rise of North Korea's Kim Jong Un, U.S. primary elections, Thailand floods and Bangladesh's garment industry crises. She has also taught or coached short courses at Internews, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, WAN-IFRA, Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University.
