Gordon Edall

Director of Globe Labs, The Globe and Mail, Canada

Gordon Edall is currently the Director of Globe Labs at The Globe and Mail as well as the Corporate Security Officer for Canada's national newspaper.

In his innovation role, he heads up a program with a joint mandate to accelerate innovation by enabling entrepreneurial employees to do what they think needs done while also tapping into the start-up ecosystem to find up and coming companies to partner with. In building out the incubation program now called Lab351, an identity for the Lab has emerged centred around the intersection of User Experience and Machine Learning.

Prior to his work developing Lab351, Gordon worked in the data science group at The Globe And Mail and managed the build out of an advanced analytic stack including the predictive modeling and recommendation systems the company relies on today. Earlier in his career, he used to write a column in the investing section called Number Cruncher.
