This comprises an introductory webinar followed by a set of three in-depth sessions for a smaller select group of applicants to equip them with the skills to support colleagues exposed to trauma, educate staff on self-care and basic trauma literacy, and put in place workplace processes which safeguard employees’ mental health and well-being.

Up to two organisations will be selected to work closely with Dart Centre consultants to develop policies and protocols to build a trauma-resilient newsroom. This is an extraordinary opportunity that will only be open to participants in the leaders’ program.
Newsroom editors and chiefs of staff who want to know about trauma and its causes can attend this programme.
Newsroom management who wish to learn how to improve their skills in supporting and educating staff and build processes and policies about the trauma can nominate their staff.
You are invited to nominate candidates in your newsrooms who could benefit from these new skills and knowledge.
Up to two participants per organisation may be accepted for this intensive training.
