    Webinar 1: Finding Reliable Data Sources

    Learn about international data sources on Covid-19 and other public health data. For domestic data, we will discuss different potential data sources and tips/tools to access them.

    Webinar 2 : Data Story Recipes

    Participants will dissect the methodologies behind great data-driven public health reporting projects, draw inspiration from them and localise them for their own data stories. It's like modifying a recipe with one's own ingredients!

    Webinar 3 : Storytelling with Data Visualisation

    Learn what makes an effective data visualization and how to pick the right visualization to communicate public health stories. This session includes a follow-along session to create online interactive charts using a free online visualization tool.

    One-to-One Coaching Sessions (various dates/times available)

    Participants are invited to book up to three hour-long coaching slots with trainer Kuang Keng to discuss their public health reporting and Covid-19 assignments. Make the most of these sessions to do any of the following:

    • Get feedback on project ideas, pitches and methodologies

    • Get advice on technical solutions for problems faced in data projects

    • Receive more in-depth training on specific tools or techniques

    • Get advice on setting up a data journalism unit or data journalism related workflow

    Participants must attend at least one of the three webinar sessions to book the coaching sessions. Each individual or group may book up to three slots at one hour each. Slots will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and are to be reserved online via the booking link participants will receive.
