Tomas Brunegård

Tomas Brunegård is the President of WAN-IFRA and former Chairman of the Board of Sweden's Stampen Group. From 2004 to 2012 he was CEO of Stampen. Previously, he was CEO of Göteborgs-Posten from 1996-2004. Before that, he was Deputy COO of Burger King Sweden from 1993-1996. Antonio Caño

Antonio Caño graduated in Journalism from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. He worked for Efe News Agency and joined EL PAÍS in 1982. He was foreign correspondent for the newspaper in Mexico and Central America and U.S. Bureau Chief in Washington, where he was stationed for over 10 years, until his designation as editor. He has also been Foreign Desk chief, deputy editor in charge of the Sunday paper and magazine, and responsible of the Investigative Reporting and Analysis section. During his career he has covered, among other events, the Gulf, Falklands, Chad and El Salvador wars, the revolts against Pinochet in Chile, the fall of the Sandinist government in Nicaragua and four presidential elections in the United States. He has interviewed many presidents, chiefs of State and public figures, most recently U.S. president Barack Obama. During the last years, while in Washington, he launched the America edition of EL PAÍS, that has become a journalistic reference in the Spanish-speaking world. In May 2014 he took over as editor of EL PAÍS.

Marc Lavallee

Marc Lavallee leads a desk of programmer/journalists who build software that empowers reporters, evolves new storytelling forms and creates new editorial products. Chris Moran

Chris Moran is the Guardian's Audience Editor, charged with finding the widest audience possible for all the Guardian's journalism. Based in London, he's at the heart of day-to-day editorial decisions, helping editors understand what's breaking across the internet, how Guardian journalism is read and how best to promote it. He is the lead editorial strategist on Ophan, the Guardian's class-leading bespoke realtime analytics tool which began as a hack day project and is now used by 1,000 staff a month. Ben is a leading expert on digital media, and at WAN-IFRA he has the task of providing independent advice on digital strategy and organisational change. He will also lead the various WAN-IFRA initiatives to support the media industry in its transformation.

Arturo Galván has spent his entire career establishing and cultivating the online industry in Latin America, working in corporate environments as well as a serial entrepreneur. For these efforts, the Wall Street Journal named him "Apostle of the Internet" for the region in 2000 and Bill Gates twice awarded him the Microsoft Award of Excellence (95-96). He was the CTO & VP of Business Development for the leading newspaper group in Mexico, Grupo Reforma for 16 years. Juan Luis Sánchez

Juan Luis Sánchez is a journalist specialised in new media and digital content. Matthew Sanders

Manuel Rivera

Manuel is currently the Chairman and Director General of Grupo Expansion in Mexico, a media group composed of 17 magazines and 12 websites, one of Mexico’s most influential media companies, and a reference of ethical journalism. In 2000 he joined Grupo Expansion (GEX) as Director of Sales and has participated in the development and implementation of more than 20 publications and websites ever since. Gail Jammy

Mariana Marcaletti is BuzzFeed's International News Coordinator. She has been a digital journalist for the past 10 years, she was born in Argentina and she has lived in New York for the past 2 years, when she moved to pursue a Fulbright-sponsored Master in Entrepreneurial Journalism at CUNY.
Before BuzzFeed, she worked as a digital producer at The Washington Post and last year she launched a collaborative site with news in English about the region, called Latin American Radar. Rossana Fuentes Berain

Since September 2014, she has been the founding CEO of Mexico Media Lab S21, which is a think tank that specializes in doing research about the use of ICTs and using it to imagine and implement disruptive projects that provoke innovation in both the public and private sector in Mexico. From this space she hopes to pick up the link with access to information and transparency in Mexico that she established in 2001 when she helped articulate the “Oaxaca Group”, a team of academics and journalists that promoted the first Federal Law of access to public information.
As part of the research activity of the Mexico Media Lab, Rossana published in 2015 the book “México 2020: dale click a tu futuro” (Mexico 2020: click on your future), in which she explores future scenarios for Mexico and emphasizes the necessary bet on digital revolution in the country. From 2009 to 2014 she was Editorial VP in Grupo Expansión, being responsible for the content of the 17 magazines and 11 websites that the firm manages, as well as the editorial content of the brand extensions.

Rossana was the first woman to be the editor of the business section in “El Financiero” newspaper.
